Pacific Pottery Hostessware #442 demitasse pot
The iconic Hostessware demitasse pot really is a marquis piece in the set. Given the iconic design, I would have assumed that more of these would have been produced, but they are very rare.
Fortunately, the (new) Bauer Pottery of Los Angeles reproduced this piece for about 15 years in their standard glaze lineup (it was discontinued in 2017, but they still have several in stock; it can also be occasionally found on eBay). Their piece is an excellent reproduction of the original, and several of their glazes are similar to Hostessware, making it a nice stand-in in the display cabinet.
This piece shares an interchangeable lid with the 443, 446 and 447 teapots.
Colors: Mostly likely available in all colors, not yet seen in apricot. Several spotted in red, all other colors rare.
Piece Rarity: [2]
