Heywood Wakefield is hard to find in downeast Maine and small tables are even more challenging to locate. I ordered four tables from the new Heywood Wakefield company located in Massachusetts in January 2024.

Given that this is custom-made furniture, the prices are surprisingly reasonable – even less expensive than some original pieces. All the Heywood is made-to-order using the same yellow northern Birch. They finish the wood with a clear-coat stain called Amber. It’s much lighter than the standard Wheat and Champagne stains, but very beautiful. While it took three months to get my tables, they were beautifully crafted and packed.
