Pacific Hostessware #227 half gallon “plainware” beanpot, 7.5″ tall. This piece is part of a set of early plainware beanpots carried over from the stoneware lines of the late 1920s – early 1930s. While not the rarest of the plainware beanpots, the larger #227 is less common than the #226. The piece is listed in the 1934 catalog and was discontinued early in the Hostessware line.
